We are celebrating Women In Business in our beautiful Downtown Lindsay!
40 years ago, Janet Reeds was only 21 when she decided to open her own frame shop, Galaxy Picture Framing, in Lindsay. Since then ownership has changed hands a few times until her daughter, Cory Reeds, took over 3 years ago! It is a true family business with Cory’s mom, Janet, founding the business and eventually passing it down to Cory whose sister also works at the store.
Custom picture framing is Galaxy’s main stay, framing anything from shadow boxes, photos, paintings, prints…anything that you would like to preserve. She also sells chalk paint, which is a furniture paint for all of you DIY folks out there! There is also other merchandise for sale such as framed and unframed prints and artwork.
Cory and staff will make sure that you have the right frame and glass for your project. There are different types of glass that you can have, depending on the medium of work. There is regular tempered glass, museum glass, and art glass that has anti-reflection and UV filters to best preserve your artwork.
Galaxy Picture Framing offers a unique, “niche” business that you won’t find everywhere with knowledgeable people who will steer you in the right direction! We are lucky to have this service in Lindsay and are always happy to support ambitious and friendly owners like Cory and her family!
Thank you for carrying on the tradition of an ambitious young female entrepreneur, Cory! All the best to you and your family!
